Short Biography

Risheng Liu is currently a full professor with the Digital Media Department at International School of Information Science & Engineering, Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He obtained his B.Sc. (2007) and Ph.D. (2012) from Dalian University of Technology, China. From 2010 to 2012, he was doing research as joint Ph.D. in robotics institute at Carnegie Mellon University. From 2016 to 2018, He was doing research as Hong Kong Scholar at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was awarded the “Outstanding Youth Science Foundation” of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the “Top Young Talents” in Liaoning province. He serves as the program committee of top-tier conferences, including IJCAI (Senior PC), AAAI (Senior PC), NIPS, ICML, CVPR, ICCV, ACM MM, ECCV, ICLR, etc. He also serves as editor for the Journal of Electronic Imaging (Senior Editor), The Visual Computer, and IET Image Processing.
